I have no success in running the upgrade to the driver. I get disconnected
after a few minutes in V90.

Are there any patches? My ISP will be switching to V90. Currently, I am
running in S32=66 (X2 mode)with no problems.

Or do I have to go and buy another modem?

Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean that you are having troubles getting good v.90 connections after you
update your firmware? It might be of interest to you to read Pete's minifaq on

Download and read minifaq Rev 4 for info on how to update your modem to a USR
Sportster. E-mail me for any specific questions you have regarding this process
as Pete is temporarily out of the modem business and is not answering e-mails.

Yeah, I checked it out, but dont want to damage my modem, as the warning
stated.

I guess I have to stick with the X2 connection?
