I had my computer upgraded and the a--holes at the shop did exactly that. Made my cdrom master and cdr the slave of the cdrom. Constantly getting buffer underload errors. Well, I tried re-routing the cables and ofcourse it switched drive letters on me then I set one of the jumpers on the hard drive to be a master and it wouldn't be read. So I just went back to the way it was for now unil I figure something else out. I didn't mention that I had 2 hard drives along with a cdr and cdrom. Cabling can be a nightmare. Back at square 1. vxquizit1 wrote: > It is not advisable to have both the CD and the CDRW on the same IDE cable > ie: one the slave of the other, this is known to cause problems.
