I need some help.

When I click on a hyperlink I get a message that Internet Explorer cannot
open the site saying "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress"

Then another window appears saying "The program has performed an illegal
operation and will be shut down"

Details - " EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0137:bff9a5d0."

This does not happen all the time, just with a few hyperlinks.
