I have a computer that is PC compatible with Windows 95 loaded.  A new
floppy drive was just added (A:)   It works sometimes so it doesn't appear
to be a hardware problem and it works in most all programs some of the time
but it frequently freezes the computer when transferring files from the
floppy to the hard drive or when reading from the floppy in programs like
Wordperfect and several others.

I checked the device manager and it said there were no conflicts.  It didn't
look as if any other device was trying to use the same IRQ.   The new floppy
drive
was replacing a bad floppy drive.

Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong.
