Found in my junkbox a 486 DX Processor with heatsink glued on. Two joining sides of the CPU are painted red. May be Intel, but not sure. Has anyone got an idea, what the correct clock speed could be, as I cannot read any details on the CPU because of the heatsink.

Presumably you mean the two adjoining sides. > May be Intel, but not sure. Is there any marking on the bottom of the cpu, in the hole between the pins ?
