Still not exactly a fabrication. What was striking in your comparison 
(between the Snopes version and the OP website) were the similarities, 
not the differences. 

Anyway, it is posted for humor, not for serious discussion. At least I 
haven't seen anyone take it seriously.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have finished my brandy and newspaper. The 
fire needs stirring and then I will settle down with this fine Cuban 
cigar while the sound of the dishes being washed in the kitchen lull me 
to sleep.
