"...visitors to the Texas State Fair were enjoying deep-fried

Anyone care to describe this delicacy? Or how it is made?

Use the force, Luke ...

"Gonzales deep-fries Coca-Cola-flavored batter. He then drizzles Coke
fountain syrup on it. The fried Coke is topped with whipped cream,
cinnamon sugar and a cherry. Gonzales said the fried Coke came about
just from thinking aloud."

Huh? Say what? I'd go for a deep fried A&W root beer float, now.

Hey now. A friend of mine emailed a while back to ask for advice on
making "chicken fried rice". My first reaction - and telling - was
"So she wants me to helpher figure out how to batter and deep-fry
individual rice grains?  WTF??"

She meant Chinese food.

I've been living in Texas for too long, obviously.

+++++++++++++

Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

As if candy bars weren't fattening enough already, now they are deep
fat frying them; Snickers, Milky Way, take your pick.

If we get much fatter as a nation, before long we will be able to drive
to the State Fair but won't be able to get out of the car.<g>
