Art Contest (Update, More Information):
-----------

We are looking for submissions for the T-shirt and crew pin. You don't
have to be an artist to take part, our art department have taken people's
descriptions and stick figures ideas and create the piece of art. That's
how TT13 program book cover was designed. If you are and artist here is
some additional information:

  T-Shirt Art
The design should fit within an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper
(vertical or horizontal). It must be one-colour "line art",
avoid any shading or half-tones. Gradations 'can' be used
but the lines must be clean and sharp. Avoid thin lines and
small detail as they might get lost due to being printed
onto cloth. Don't worry if you can't draw, our art department
    can help finalize and idea.

  Crew Pin Art
The design can be any shape but must fit within a one inch
square area. It can't be too complex or detailed as it's only
one inch in size and the lines can't be too thin. Use a maximum
of two 'spot' colours - meaning they can be any stand alone colours
such as Light Blue, Medium Blue, Black, Dark Red, Yellow, etc.,
but cannot be mixed to create a third, and they cannot touch. Each
colour must sit within its own area which is stamped-in to your
choice of silver or gold metal. Not all stamped-in areas have to be
filled with colour though - take a look at some of the previous
    year's designs such as TT10 TT12 and TT13.

Submission deadline is Mar. 16, 2001.
- Full Credit will be given to each artist.
- Art Work does not need to be finalized by this date - just in a state
for judging, finalist will be selected Mar. 18, 2001.
- To enter eithere-mail us either a JPG or GIF, fax (e-mail us for phone
number), or send it to our postal address.
- TT reserves the right to make alterations to the art work, however these
will be reviewed with the artist. If the changes are unacceptable to
the artist, the artwork will be removed from consideration.

Each winner receives a membership for two and final copy of their
creation.

Anthology:
---------

Noted Canadian author Julie E. Czerneda will edit this year's
TT "A Canadian Odyssey" themed anthology. Stories that look ahead
with our unique viewpoint on what it might be like to live on
other worlds, to meet other intelligences, taking that wee bit of
Canadian attitude with us.

To submit a story for consideration send a copy on 8.5"x11" paper,
double spaced, max. 5000 words. Include a single page cover letter,
a cheque for $25 and an electronic copy (if possible) to the TT
postal address, post marked by Mar. 31, 2001.

The top (max. 10) stories will be included in the anthology, with
the best receiving a $100 prize, a membership to the next year's TT
and a copy of the anthology.

Writer's Workshop:

the Future contest and author of "Expendable", "Commitment Hour",

first chapter of a work in progress must be mailed, with

65 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5J 1E6, postmarked
