http://www.local12.com/News/Local/story/Police-Track-Down-Man-Who-Ripped-Off-Choir-Games/Isn3b1opX0SefHRIw4T86w.cspx >Nigvid at site> Cincinnati Police tracked down the man they say ripped off people who had traveled to the city for the World Choir Games. Officers say 29 year old Khalid Roman Bryant of North Fairmount posed as a security guard to gain access to rooms of Chinese Choir members. Only Local 12 News cameras were rolling as police arrested Khalid Roman-Bryant Sunday afternoon outside of the White Castle on Reading Road in Avondale. Investigators say he posed as a security guard at the Hyatt on Friday night and targeted visitors from China staying on the 18th floor. Cincinnati Lt. Col. James Whalen says, "Told our guest that he lad a report of drugs being in their possession, which was of course bogus. They allowed him to search their belongings and actually search their room and in doing so, he took the opportunity to steal from them." Police say Bryant tried to use Chinese currency at the Fountain Square News. That was rejected, but he was able to use a stolen credit card to buy beer. Surveillance video brought in lots of calls to Crimestoppers over the weekend. Police were able to intercept Bryant as he was on his way to the Greyhound station to leave town. A judge set his bond at $100,000 this morning. --- Posted via news://freenews.netfront.net/ - Complaints to news@netfront.net ---
