<Nigpic at site> COVINGTON A man police have been trying to find for nearly eight months has been captured in Cincinnati. Chris Hill, 22, was arrested Monday, according to Hamilton County jail records. In addition to having outstanding warrants, Hill is wanted in connection with Covingtons last homicide of 2011. On Dec. 20, Brett Thornberry, 18, was found shot to death behind 1010 Greenup St. after police responded to a report of gunshots. Two teens, one 15 and one 16, have been charged with murder in the death, but police say that Hill is also a suspect in the case. In February, police surrounded a unit in the City Heights Public Housing Complex after someone reported that Hill was inside. When police ordered the occupants of the Hayden Street unit out of the house, Hill was not there. After the raid, Covington police said Hill was wanted in connection with Thornberrys death. Also in February, a Kenton County grand jury indicted Hill on two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Details of Hills arrest in Cincinnati were not available Friday. Covington Police were notified this week that Hill had been caught, said Capt. Bryan Carter. Detectives plan to interview Hill next week, he said. Hill is being held on the warrant and has not been charged in the homicide. He is also charged in Cincinnati with obstructing official business and falsification. He is scheduled to appear in Hamilton County court on Aug. 30 on those charges. Hill was released from the Kenton County Detention Center in August 2011 after being charged with having a handgun. In 2009 he was sentenced to three years in prison after he violated his probation. Romello Rice, one of the teens charged with killing Thornberry, is scheduled to stand trial in October. Rice, 16, a former Holmes High School football player, was arrested eight days after the shooting. His case was then transferred to adult court. The second teen was arrested the day after the shooting. His name has not been released because his case has not been transferred to adult court. Both teens are charged with complicity to murder and to robbery. The charges carry the same penalty as murder and robbery, but under the complicity charge, prosecutors do not have to prove which defendant pulled the trigger or committed the robbery. --- Posted via news://freenews.netfront.net/ - Complaints to news@netfront.net ---
