AVONDALE � A man was shot multiple times Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Reading Road and Hutchins Ave. Police responded around 4:40 p.m. to the intersection of Rockdale Ave. and Reading Road where the man had run after being shot. He was shot twice in the abdomen, once in the right leg and once in each arm, police said. Police temporarily shut down the intersection and nearby streets as they searched for the suspect. Three pistols were recovered from bushes in the area.


The victim was taken to the University of Cincinnati hospital where he was in serious but stable condition Saturday evening, police said. The suspect had not yet been arrested late Saturday.

AVONDALE � Cincinnati poilce said they are investigating after two men 
were shot on Shirley Drive near Vine Street late Wednesday.

One victim was hit in the leg; the other was struck in the abdomen, police 
said.

Both were taken to University Hospital and are expected to recover.

They are not cooperating with police, so investigators are still working 
to determine a motive.
