I didn't go, but apparently the Halloween celebration in the gay Castro
District in San Francisco has become a major annual event.  Anyway,
there had been security problems for the last few years and this year
gunfire broke out and injured a few people but no one was killed.

While the local media is following the story, they have been avoiding
speculating about who fired the shots, though vague references are
made to two rival groups who got into an argument.  Who the rival
groups might be is a mystery, but one Castro Street resident who was
interviewed mentioned that in recent years the party has attracted gay
bashers, obviously trying to imply that it was homophobic gay bashers
who opened fire in a violent act of hate.  More likely it was two black
street gangs, such as the two that fought last month and caused police
to set up street blockades to contain the rioting negroes somewhere
in the southwest section of town.

Or perhaps it was two or more gay gangs that got into the shootout.
Perhaps the Draq Queens and Leather Daddies began arguing over which
security guard had the cutest butt, when the Transexual Crack Whores
showed up and the whole thing erupted in gunfire.
