Every time I take a day trip to San Francisco I encounter more than a few crazy
and very eccentric people.  Last week it was some obviously bipolar young man
who complained about the cops smashing his bottle of 151, then that time on the
train with the dude in a skirt with the Ralph Nader for President sticker on it,
and yesterday it was the vampire at the bus stop.

While I adore Marilyn Manson (I'm his Number One Fan!), I don't really get the
goth scene (except that black eye makeup is so cool).  This guy was brainwashed
by it; imagine standing at a bus stop at Haight/Clayton (across from the Free
Clinic) and the guy standing next to you was a cross between Dracula and Willy
Wonka.  Black outfit, Willy Wonka hat, white makeup with black around the eyes
on the entire face, lip ring, etc.  A tourist came up and asked to take his
photo but he said no then he complained to me that he hated having his picture
taken (and so do I) and of course people were always asking to take it.  He
then proceeded to sing something incoherent to himself; It's probably wrong to
judge someone's mental state after a only a few minutes of interaction, but he
came across as bonkers.
