Well, each goret must speak for hirself (if [s]he could speak), but I can tell you that my goret has a small vestibular circumlocution, several bright-orange nodules of the quadratic variety, a number of grommets of all temperatures (and several Platonic "forms"), and not a few peripheral spicules (currently afflicted with rales). It also ingests several lenticular infundibulae every fortnight. Perhaps some of the older goret-owners out there would care to share their experiences in this highly personal matter? Goretially yours, Mickey "oh, no! it's mistaken my toe for a lenticular infundibulum!" Phoenix.

What the hell is a goret? WHAT THE HELL IS A GORET?!?!?! You mean you don't *know* what the hell a goret is? WWWWWHHHHYYY NOT?!?!? So you may be "young and innocent", but if you were raised in THIS country, you were SUPPOSED to have had SCHOOLING, I ASSUME...AT SOME POINT! Just what the hell are they teaching in school nowadays? A kid can apparently go 12 years through elementary and secondary education and wind up accepted to study in an accredited institution of higher learning and yet STILL not have a clue as to what a goret is! Truly amazing! You know, when I was in school, we were required to take six full contact hours a day, and of course, for every contact hour you are expected to do an hour of homework, which was to be turned in the following day at the beginning of class. We had to take history and geography and a ton of mathematics and english, not to mention the fine arts, such as music and drama. And WE WERE DRILLED, DRILLED, DRILLED! None of this, "new education", namby-pamby, liberal stuff. Noooo-hoo, it was learn or fail and be held back! And that was kindergarten - IN FIRST GRADE IT REALLY GOT TOUGH! I swear, nowadays they must be coddling kids such that by the time each year's graduating class shows up on the podium for their respective sheepskins, they're all DUMB AS A STUMP, without exception, every last one of 'em. And you know, teachers don't care. They probably wouldn't dare fail a student now because if they happened to recognize one of the same pimply faces they were drinking to forget last year, it might upset them out of their alcoholic stupor long enough to miss too much out of the half-bottle of "cough syrup" they just have time to down in the teacher's lounge between the 20-minute-long classes their criminally-controlled union negoiated for 'em. SHEEESSSHH! Fred

Come now, it's simple etymology.
A cygnet is a baby swan (French "cygne" for swan)
A leveret is a baby hare (French "lie`vre" for hare)
And so on.
A goret is a baby gore (Mediaeval French "goeur" for electronic saxophone).
Or it used to be, where I went to school.
As Yahweh said to Moshe,
keep taking the tablets.
