Hey netters, Has anyone ported their goret to AIX? I was trying to modify the BSD code on my goret, but by the time I was done my goret died. Man, it was a bloody mess. I'll have to remember to do a back up next time. aTdHvAaNnKcSe, Brian *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Brian Woelfel | "What, me goret?" -- Alfred E. The International Goretic Academy declared AIX unsafe for gorets in December of 1991. If you are really interested in voiyb optimization, I would suggest porting your goret to DXIn, which is much safer and quite easy to do. I haven't ported MY goret over, but I have a perverse pleasure for choppy voiyb sequences. A pal of mine did, though... I think that detailed instructions can be ftp'd from the abovementioned Int'l Goretic Acad, at ftp.goret.iga.org. Look in /pub/info/DXIn. Oh, and when you make that backup, make sure not to expose the compressed copy to any radiation from spurple amplifiers... that can wipe out a backup goret faster than a young goret eats leticular infundibula. >aTdHvAaNnKcSe, > >Brian Let us know how it goes... I haven't heard many good goret-porting stories lately. -- Denis/Tesser M Moskowitz Jen feroca malbona kuniklo; rigardu liajn dmoskowi@jarthur.claremont.edu sovagxajn vangharojn, kaj liajn ungojn kaj This Is Realtime! lian faldan voston.

I had no problem porting my own goret from Messy Dos to Macintrash. Did you try to insert the tail in the ear ? Just wondering. Can you send part of your code ? Yougz. Always mount a scratch goret.
The AIX 3.2 device drivers don't handshake with gorets correctly. You
need to smack your goret with a mallard spoon, or maybe a decent
cloaca spindle, to fix the problem.

Tesser is perhaps overly cautious here: While it is certainly true that compressed gorets (and indeed uncompressed ones) can be damaged by radiation from spurple amplifiers, this can be avoided by proper treatment of the spurple amplifiers. To sum up: never sleep around spurple. Sleep and spurple simply do not mix, expecially not if either the sleep or the spurple have been amplified. It is in fact my rather painful experiences involving mixing sleep and spurple that explain why I have only a partial goret. Given that this is the right forum, does anyone out there have any experience fixing a goret that has been injured from sleep/spurple interactions? On a slightly related topic, does anyone have any experience porting a goret to either F or SRL-E? Jon -- Jon Leonard jleonard@jarthur.claremont.edu I'm not an actor, I just play one on TV.
