Are you tired of minicassette recorders that do not have the fidelity to
record your "special" tones? How about Walkman style tape players that don't
have the speed stability to reproduce tones faithfully? Have you also tried
the "Hallmark" recording circuit (or any of the solid state recording
devices) and found them difficult to solder and build into a case?  Worst of
all, it is next to impossible to get the unit to record the tones correctly
(the input impendance is all wrong, it's designed for super high impendance
piezoelectric microphones, not the line-out jack of your soundblaster!)

five dollars for a RadioShack tone dialer, plus five dollars for the crystal
(plus shipping for the special order item, plus tax, etc, etc, etc...).  Then,
if you do not have the proper electronic tools, you will need to buy a
desoldering iron, soldering iron, solder, wire, wire snippers, glue,etc!!! By
the time your dialer is ready, you have spent over fifty dollars and spent who
knows how many hours trying to stuff the crystal in the case and close it!!

And have you SEEN the new dialers?  They are of much lower quality than the
original dialers.  The new ones have cheap plastic construction, the numbers
rub off the keys easily, the battery door snaps easily, etc.

For those of you who want a to retain regular DTMF tones as well as your
modified tone set, you may be interested in our assembled STEALTH MODIFIED
TONE DIALERS.  When the unit is held normally, it dials regular touchtones. 
But, when you hold the dialer upside-down, your "special" crystal is switched
in, and the unit will produce your "special" tones.

The tone dialers are supplied unprogrammed, here are the programming
directions. To test your ACTS receiver project, you will want to program five
asterisks into memory location one. (* * * * *) 1) Turn unit on, off, on. 2)
Press the '*' key five times. 3) Press STORE 4) Press RECALL 5) Press the
number '1'

To transmit the tones,
1) Turn the unit on and press RECALL,   '1'.
    The tones will play.

 To transmit tone again, repeat this procedure.
