This could explain the change in B's behaviour. It does not explain
the puzzled feeling I experienced after observing the scene for a while.
Normally, I should not have experienced such an altered state of mind.
It is hard to describe what it was like -- something like day-dreaming,
not being fully aware of myself.

B had a very similar experiencd, only much stronger.

I'm not sure if hypnosis ist the correct term for what happened, at least
there were two things:

- the ability to change a person's state of mind (not very precise I'm
  afraid)

- suggestive talk/actions in order to provoke a change in behaviour

These together with the use of the voice and eye contact made me think
of hypnosis. Probably hypnosis is not the right word, suggestion would
be more accurate. What makes the difference? I think hypnosis is very
advanced suggestion, but maybe I'm wrong.

What are the properties of "covert hypnosis"?

Perhaps I'm mixing up things that are completely different. I hope this
is the right place to make things clear.
