Naturally subjects (hopefully not victims) will hesitate before
leaping from the top of large buildings, given the suggestion to
do so. This is because you are suggesting that they leap off the
top of a large building. But what if you told them to walk along
the beach for a couple hundred metres in a particular direction?
To take a long walk off a short pier, in other words.

Subjects will readily perform actions to which they previously
refused if you place the action in a pleasant situation. You
wouldn't get a subject to chew on broken glass if you told him:
"Chew on broken glass." But if you handed him some broken glass
and said, "Here, have some candy..." (Please note, this is for
example purposes ONLY! Don't try this at home.)

I've heard of some incidents where a subject was given water,
suggested to be alcohol, and had an allergic reaction to the
"alcohol." Luckilly, the hypnotist gave her an immediate cure.
It just goes to show you how unpredictable sessions can get,
without being tediously careful. But that's part of the fun!

Curt-- Puh-leeeeeze tell!
