mIRC and slirp

Am using slirp as a PPP emulator and it doesn't seem to allow for DCC under
mIRC 4.72 as the documentation says that it should. The mIRC documentation
promises that slirp allows for DCC connections, however, I can rarely DCC
send files, receives don't always work, and I've even had trouble w/DCC
chat.
Someone recommended that I put the line: redir tcp 13223
10.0.2.15:13223 in my .slirprc file, but it doesn't seem like that has made
a difference. What can I do about this?

You shouldn't have any problem sending using DCC, however you can't receive
using the PPP emulation. I won't get into an explanation of this since it
is somewhat technical. I've noticed however that if you use slirp in
slip/cslip mode that DCC does work both ways. If you do this though, don't
forget to set the settings in the Windows95 Dialup setup to slip (I am of
course assuming you are using Win95).

Hope this works for you,

Sorry, screwed up my words. Its sending that you can't do. You should be
able to receive no problem (unless the other person is also using slirp in
PPP emulation mode).
