Hi Travs,

Have you considered doing a NAUI course?
IMHO, NAUI fills the gap between the rigours of a BSAC course (length
of time, depth of content - all good stuff, but makes for a long
course), and the resort style - 'get them in and out of training in
the shortest possible time' - that PADI uses and is infamous for.
In truth however, a good dive course basically comes down to the
quality, experience and the underlying philosophy of the instructor.
What ever training agency you choose, speak to the instructor first
and get a feel for whether they are really interested in producing
safe, competent divers, or more interested in just getting you through
the course as quickly as possible.

Yours in diving
