Hi NG

I am wondering what the most popular network monitoring tool is for linux.
I am running mandrake 8.2 and prefer GUI proggies as I am not comfortable
(yet) with the command line.

My two home pc's access the internet via my linux box. I have samba
installed and the pc's can see each other on the LAN. Does this mean that
some proggie would be able to monitor the internet usage for both machines?

I would like to be able to pull stats up by the day/week/month etc and keep
permanent records "just in case". Basically, I want to ensure that I am a
good netizen and dont hog up optus' network - N E info that can be provide
is greatly appreciated.

TIA and Cheers
Anthony
