do other sites work in netscrape?

try a nslookup on icq.marabilis.com

First thing to do is check your DNS setup, look in /etc/resolv.conf for
the correct IP addresses, also check nsswitch.conf and make sure the
hosts: line contains both files and dns

what was the firewall you installed?
