some things use "localhost" expecting that it points to 127.0.0.1

you can point more than one name at 127.0.0.1 and "localhost" should be one 
of them.  so i'm saying, put 
127.0.0.1 localhost gtech gtech.localdomain
as your line in /etc/hosts
