I just recently installed Redhat 5.0. Fresh install with all of the trimmings. I have yet to be able to compile a kernel that works. If you will look at my many earlier postings requesting help (most of which no one is smart enough to answer, apparently) you will see my problem. Look at the message title 'test of your little nirvana" it lists my problems which no one can fix. If I sound bitter, I am. I bought Linux because someone told me it was a good OS. As yet, I have found nothing in it to prove that or make me want to abandon win95. As far as I am concerned, Linus Torvald should have never started this little project. It was an enormous waste of time. I can't even get my kernel to compile right. I don't see how anyone else is using it. begin 666 J. J.
