I have just set up a Lunux system using the slackware distribution.  I
installed the packages for the X windows system and I have run the
configuration utility.  When i type in startx, it comes up with the
following message;

FATAL SERVER ERROR
NO VALID MODES FOUND
GIVING UP

XINIT: CONNECTION REFUSED (ERRNO 111) :UNABLE TO CONNECT TO X SERVER
XINIT: NO SUCH PROCESS (ERRNO 3): SERVER ERROR

I am using the following video hardware;
Cirrus Logic cgld5422
Video memory = 1024
svga 800*600

any help would be appreciated !!
