Hi! After I've updated from SuSE 6.2 to 6.4 I've got the following problem: If I want to start pico I get: " 'ansi': unknown terminal type. " If I want to start man I get: "WARNING: terminal is not fully functional" And lots of other programs suck this way. It doesn't matter whether I access it with ssh or telnet. The only exception is rlogin. Any help would be nice! Robert

What happens if you do a export TERM=vt100 or export TERM=xterm on a rlogin do a echo $TERM and export it on the other login types. If the above breaks your system, it's yours and you keep both pieces. Practice safe computing. Backup the file before you change it. Do a, man every_command_here, before doing anything or running a script.
