I was at "ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.1/en/iso/i386/" last week
and i downloaded/burnt all the ISO files, now when i put the first CD in, it
brings me to the "install method" window. After hitting enter, sir penguin
shows up top left, it goes through right till a blue screen pops up and at
the bottom it then says something to the affect of failing or exiting
abnormally.. i forget. regardless, that's as far as i get and then it tells
me to reboot. CTRL+ALT+DEL is not my idea of an operating system. Now i have
made two copies of the CD1 image using EZ CD creator 5. they both did the
same thing. Is it perhaps the CDR software not burning it right? I can't
find any HOW-TO's/read me's to tell me if there is a certain proggy i need.
can someone help me with this dilema?

- OR -

Help me get VMware up and running in Corel Linux, i hear RH is the best
version out, so... i like to go with the best, hence why i am trying to get
Linux in general up and running.

I have run Linux before, but usually until i realize that i can't play my
favorite game in it, or i can't move the start menu sub folders around,
perhaps i am wind-o-fied, but i just don't know anyone locally who uses
linux.

I don't check newgroups too often, so could i ask that if you can help me,
or give me some tips, to email me at jirm@mail.com

As a first step, I would verify the MD5 checksums of the ISO images. (They
should match what is published.)

Dave.

At what point of the install process does this happen? Details are
needed here.

It may be that you have some hardware issues that need to be worked
around. If I were you, I'd try the non-graphical install, and post your
computer configuration.
