ok folks got a problem compiling the source to the drivers provided by
NVIDIA for my TNT2.

i type make at the command and what i get is sumthin like this:

"[root@localhost src]# make
rm -f nv.o os-interface.o os-registry.o Module-linux NVdriver
cc -c -Wall -Wno-unknown-pragmas -Wno-multichar -O  -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -D
_LOOSE_KERNEL_NAMES -D_X86_=1 -Di386=1 -DUNIX -DLINUX -DNV4_HW -DNTRM -DRM20
 -D_GNU_SOURCE -DRM_HEAPMGR -D_LOOSE_KERNEL_NAMES   -DNV_MAJOR_VERSION=1 -DN
V_MINOR_VERSION=0 -DNV_PATCHLEVEL=1251  -I. -I/usr/src/linux/include nv.c"

and it stops and goes back to command line.
is this a problem with my make program or is the source corrupt or am i just
typing the wrong thing!

please help me out here its kinda frustrating!
cheers all :)
/david

yeah, of course it is, because it is finished... there is no error
message, so no error! there should be a file nv.o in the directory
now. you probably have to type `make install' or something to install
it.

You don't have a c compiler installed.

I had to edit /usr/src/linux/include/linux/autoconf.h and change:

#define CONFIG_SMP 1

to

#undef
GONFIG_SMP 1

in the start of the file before I could compile the driver.
