Mozilla:Stop popping up that window!

Hi people,

I am using Redhat7.1 and KDE 2.1.2.
I use Mozilla as my internet browser and I enjoy surfing the net with it except
for one thing, when I open several browser windows for quick surfing everytime
I am concentrating on one window and the other windows finish loading the
finished ones will pop up to the front of the existing window which I am
concentrating on and this I find annoying. Is there a way to configure this
setting? If yes how can I do that?

Thanks for any guidance.

Thanks Dave, I never thought the problem was as simple as setting configuration
for KDE.

Cheers,
Alimin

Click on the KDE Control Center icon on the panel - the one with the
green thingie in front of a display. Select Look & Feel -> Window
something (I'm using KDE-2.2), then Focus Policy -> Focus under mouse.

Hi Alimin

Did Dave's solution work? The particular behavior has been driving my
nutty as well. I asked the same question on one of the Mozilla
newsgroups and the answer was that was a bug that has not been
corrected.

Cheers Zeph

If you run the wmconfig program or just click on the weird icon in the
upper right corner of your WM desktop, you can change the mouse focus to
"sloppy" IIRC.

With FVWM-2, you can edit your ~/.fvwm2rc file to accomplish the same.

mmmmm? I have really. I use Window Manager as opposed to KDE and the
window focus is set to be controlled by mouse position. Mozilla
however still overrides this. I used to use fvwm2 with the same
setting and the same problem.

Oh well hopefully the Mozilla team will fix the but soon.

Many Thanks Zeph

Doh, the focus was not set to sloppy.

Problems seems to have gone.

Many Thanks Zeph
