Hi

Tomorrow I'm going to install Linux Red Hat 5.2 and I would like to
know before I install it, if my video card is compatible. My video card
is a S3 Vision 864 with 2 Mb.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, I use a S3 Virge card just a bit newer than yours with 4mb and it
works just fine in 800x600 at 72khz (or hz, too tired to think)

Hello,

S3 864 is very much supported by XFree86. Make sure that you have the
S3 server installed (normally you will link this server to /usr/X11/bin/X).

And a friendly advice - You have given two mail-ids with you signature.
It is an open inivitation for spam - and believe me spam is pain ;-)
