Previously ADSL was working on the 2.2.14 kernel. After recompiling the kernel, I am faced with many unresolved module errors and now eth0 and eth1 can't be brought "up" with ifconfig. Following someone else's advice, sorry can't remember who, I tried recompiling which did the same thing. Apparently because I didn't copy the module dir or use the EXTENDEDVERSION switch - the recompile killed it. So, I went back and got the 2.2.11 kernel off the APC pocketbook and compiled that, using the EXTENDEDVERSION property of the main makefile - SAME THING! How can I get the kernel to compile properly with eth0 and eth1 working correctly? Also what is NFS??? It is failing at boot after the recompile.... Thanks for your help hippy

Ok, due to recompiling of that same kernel, you lost your module. fine. this happens. I would suggest compiling newer kernel, without any flags, and checking what's up there. I believe it will work just fine. Ez. "hippy" <hippy@swin.edu.au> wrote in message news:fWNB5.11626$Nr3.39533@news-server.bigpond.net.au... > Previously ADSL was working on the 2.2.14 kernel.
