I am trying to install the above network adapter in Linux using control panel. Can anyone advise on how to let the Linux detect the adapter, which I found a supported board on the HW compatibility list of REDHAT? Your advice most apprecaited.

This is not a General Unix admin question, and does not belong on this list. Try a Linux or a Redhat list. Also You may wish to look at the Kernel-HOWTO or something like that. You may need to compile a new kernel if Redhat doesn't comep packaged with a module for your NIC. -- Best Regards David Stanaway Systems Administrator david@netventures.com.au Office - +612 9460 8800 Pager - +612 9461 2981 __________________________________________________________ Australia's Only Live! I have had problems with D-Link cards in Redhat so I moved back to SuSE. I know alot of people don't like SuSE but I find most of the Hardware support seems far better than Redhats since it moved to versions 6 up wards Cheers Casio

John, If I remember correctly, the DE220 is an NE2000 clone. I had a RH4.2 system that used a DE220, so yes, it definitely is supported. I don't have access to the machine, so I can't really provide details beyond this... I hope that at least points you in the right direction though... - Mike
