Does anyone know if there is support for the Stealth II S220 under Linux?
IT uses the Rendition Verite (TM) V2100 Chipset and is PCI 2.1 Compliant.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Paul

The only released driver is written by Xig. You need to get their Xserver
to run it. From what I hear it is very good and easy to install.

Any body had any luck finding a driver for the Stealth II S220 for Redhat?
Martin gave one for Suse that I don't think will work with my redhat.

Did you check this? Please do so and let me known. Since it is in rpm-format,
you won't have problems uninstalling it in the unlucky case. But it should work since the X-tree is fairly standard.

Everything works fine with RedHat5 ! I tested it myself and it was no problem
to use 800x600 with 256 colors. Is there anyone who succeed with more colors
, it should be possible but I can't get any better than 800x600 with 8
bplanes. Please advise...

I am running the Suse X server on RH 5.1 with a Thriller (V2200) at 800x600
and
32 bit color. Works just fine. The only thing is that this release of the X
server is
not accellerated. Get the Suse X server in the rpm and be sure to get the
updated
XF86Config to go with it.
