The fdisk program that comes with Linux can do the job, not the windows version. Just run the install again and use Linux to delete the Linux partitions and all will be well Alexandre Carlotti <alexandre.carlotti@sederta.com> wrote in message news:gq1m4.16590$gi.313532@news20.bellglobal.com... > Hi everybody, > > I have my HD splited in 3 partitions (win98, native linux, swap linux) > I want to sale my HD to a guy that doesn't want any linux partition...just > win98 (who cares..). Well, i had to reinstall linx about 6 times, (befor i understeand it) and al the times i cleaned up my disk whit fdisk. Not that i ame saying that it is a great thing, it is only easy to use. What u must do, is firt delete the non logical partitions. then u one by one and restart all the times. So, u do this 3 times. The swap first then the other two. Now you can delete windows. Restart again and se what for size you have now. If all goos good, u have now one partition. exit fdisk. go to A: . There you type fdisk /MBR to clean up the Master Boot Sector. To check if you have formated the hole disk, type in the a: fdisk /STATUS this will show what the status is of you hd. If you did good, you now have one disk. go here for moor info about fdisk: http://jacobsen.sdn.dk/fdisk/ it is usefull, i think. It hase moor options that the doc from windoze documents.... see ya.
