Good first date material for the noise-inclined in San Francisco...

March 28:

Brutal sound effects #3 (Club Kommode, 2779 16th Street, SF -
was the Komotion)
o Slusser. Top Dog with sound effects for big time Hollywood movies
   (Terminator, the Rock, etc.).
o The Glass Hand's John Bischoff. His CD reflects complete control of
any sound he can lay his hands on.
o Rubber O Cement. Cardboard computer band with giant bat-winged baby
   cube. Super electronics. Super strange.
o Citizen Band. Sound engineers and computer nuts from the guts of a
   serge synth.
o Ungawa!! My Life in the Gorilla's Nuts. Vaudeville noise band with a
gorilla and a Jungle Jane, very wierd.
o Box slash and the Bear Pump Swami. Mega talent Rakesh K. can play
anything including an ironing board or a fish tank.

April 11:

(Clud Teuffel, 17th and Capp Streets, SF)
o Zeke Scheck. Chicago's top "brain toggle" player, one woman and
   handmade strange things.
o Nautical Almanac. Ann Arbor's Hanson records' gas-fueled top seller,
as if Half Japanese were played inside a hay combine on reds.
o Commode Minstrels in Bullface. Ensemble of costumed nostalgia nuts
play music like "Bells of St. Mary's" and "Car Starting".
o Barney. With the old Throbbing Gristle effects layouts. He's built
a
glowing, screaming 3-theremined tractor with a 25-tube amp.

Both shows start at 8:30 PM sharp. Admission is $5 or less.
