Senior Testing Programmer and Consultant
Industries:        Market data, Information systems, Investment banking

Description:       A global consulting firm with an investment banking
client needs an experienced test planning coordinator/consultant to work
with a data IT team in testing the products of vended data infrastructure
technologies (including:  time-series; extraction, transformation and
loading tools, logical data mapping; and messaging.) The project will entail
establishing the test plans, helping to conduct the tests, and analysing the
test results against the established criteria as well as a variety of
programming opportunities.

Primary audience will be project managers and vendor selection teams.

Travel:    Based in Chicago; some travel to Connecticut, Switzerland, London
may be required.

Requirements:
� Knowledge of different facets of technical and data architectures
� Experience in establishing and managing test environments
� Experience constructing test plans
� Information analytical and presentation skills required
� Strong information management and organisational skills
� Knowledge of market data or investment banking industry, a plus
-Working with other team members globally (virtual teams) to assess user
requirements and develop extensions to existing components developed both
in-house and by vendors
-Work independently or with team members on market data architecture to make
enhancements as required to run the bank
-Develop, optimise and implement test plans.
-Debug database queries, transactions and objects
-Design and develop market data support plans to improve the distribution of
market data within the bank
-� Manage data flow activities, programs and scripts while continually
assessing new products and technologies for use in Market Data distribution

Skills:     Unix Development environment and Clear Case source control
tools, testing method and performance measurement
-Databases: SQL server based database; Sybase preferred
-Operating Systems: Solaris (UNIX and shell programming) and NT
-Languages: Experience with SQL and C or C++; preferably Java
-Distributed systems understanding and knowledge of standards like CORBA,
COM preferred
-B.S./B.A in Computer Science or related field
