Hi all,
My name is Jarrett and my son belongs to a small Cub Scout =
troop (1st Wynyard ) in Tasmania, Australia.
The local leader Don has been the sole leader running the group with the =
assistance of his daughter Tegan for a long period of time with very =
little parent or communinity assistance. As I have been a parent helper =
for some time, I have decided to do the required training as a leader to =
help out this dedicated pair of people.
What I would very much like is a book of simple activities for =
entertaining the girls and boys in the pack that are not the same old =
games and activities in the Scouting manuals. They must be within the =
limits of these young children but just a bit out of the ordinary to =
keep their young minds active and interested in the movement. I am more =
than happy to pay for my own pocket. If anyone has such a book to sell =
or can give me the name of one that I can attempt to acquire from a =
local store, please let me know.
French Cricket, British Bulldog and Blind Mans Bluff are simply too old =
fashioned for the kids of today,as when I was a Cub Scout.
Yours in Scouting,
Jarrett Campbell
