Since my cub scout name is "Rikki" (for Rikki-Tikki-Tavi the mongoose
from the Jungle Book) I would like to find some clip art of a
mongoose. I have looked at the Microsoft Office ones and there is
nothing I really like (they all look to me like a cross between a rat,
a groundhog and a daschund).
I have seen one or two pictures of a mongoose wrestling with a cobra,
which would be just perfect. The particular scene I have in mind has a
mongoose biting the cobra's neck while the cobra coils itself around
the mongoose's body.
So, can anyone point me to someplace that I could find such a picture?
Line-art preferably, but I'll be happy with anything I can find.
P.S. since I don't check the newsgroups often, I'd appreciate if any
replies could be sent personal email as well as posting to the group
TIA
YiS

The one from the Disney Jungle Book would be cool. Paul Ryan ACSL 1st Farnsfield pryan@ntlworld.com

The Jungle Book - the REAL one, not the trite frilliness of Disney - includes the story of Rikki-Tiki-Tavi and has several pictures of him in action against Nag and Nagaina the cobras. I'm not sure whether you could simply use these (be careful of infringing Copyright regulations) but you could use them as a basis for your own clipart design. Good luck. How's a badge depicting the Disney Bagheera suit you? Snowgum (the
Australian Scout Shop) have a series of badges depicting the Disney
Jungle Book characters. http://www.snowgum.com.au/scout/cub.html There
are 6 badges depicting Baloo, Hathi, Bagheera, Shere Khan, Kaa, and
Akela. Unfortunately for me, the Disney version didn't include
Rikki...
