IT'S A BOY. NO, IT'S A GIRL. NO, IT'S A WEBSITE!

As the timeline for the "World Scout Jamboree On The Internet 1999" is
getting close, we're all working hectically towards the finishing line.
First of all, we're proud to announce the birth of our latest website,
http://www.joti.org

The new site will help you to get your JOTI station up and running in 10
minutes! All information is there -- channels, software, rules, some
ideas...

Right in time before JOTI, the site will be updated with a web-based chat
access to our official chat network for those who do not have the
permission to install chat programs on their JOTI computers, and with a
contact list to arrange meeting times with your preferred destinations!

We learned from last year where our server almost broke down due to its
popularity. So this year, our visitors will be served by eight web
servers, in English and soon Spanish, French and German. But we're not
done yet. More translations are expected as well.

KEEP INFORMED ABOUT JOTI

For those who want to discuss JOTI preparations with other scout leaders,
there is a discussion list for you on eGroups.com: joti@egroups.com.
Thanks to KingEd_UK for maintaining the list. Joining the list is easy -
just click on the following link:

The other list is joti-announce@egroups.com (which most of you have
probably already subscribed to). This is a low-volume list with important
announcements relevant to JOTI from the World Organization of the Scout
Movement's JOTI Team. To subscribe, click on the following link:
