Two things I am sure about horse racing and stocks are a set up
I will tell you why. Fixed? Maybe. Except for certain times when stocks tank
drastically ( you might want to buy mine now) most times stocks are a set up
to take your money. Stocks used to be great investments, hold for the long
haul, they go up and down and often to 0 or close because they can! Stocks
go down fast now because thats the best way to get your money the fastest!
.now Money market guys and insiders and shorts and hedge funds trade against
you often with information they get and you don't and who is going to prove
it? The only cases that go to court is so obvious, the rest get to make
money off your bets or investments.Ps its suicidal to be a day traders,
simply because no matter how good the stock market makers can know your
history and hold the stock back which is why they lose 90 percent of time.
But even worse just investing in stocks can almost assure losses and be a
set up.

This is way shorter then my other posts

Hey what? LOL

The stock market's rigged? Can't be. MONEY (and by extension the markets)
are managed by upright outstanding fellows isn't it?

Your talking beyond me although i think I understand some of it
Money supply is allowing inflation to occur. This in addition to our
national debt is very worrisome. I am not sure we have enough gold to
utilize what you want although I might notunderstand fully the concept ( I
am betting on that)

Now how to get clean air when many people have it and don't care about those
that don't. I have been cleaned out. Whats the best homeless shelters ( the
least chance to get murdered and please give percentages) thankyou all . Ps
I might be willing to join a cult if I can get good air and they let me
sleep at least 9 hours a day ( missed sleep because of pollution). I am a
great advocate for doing the right things or believing in God.

A money supply growing beyond the increase in productivity and the
population IS THE CAUSE OF INFLATION. Presently all gov'ts are printing far
more money than is actually being produced by the savings and productivity
of the populations. The statistics they provide us are fudged to make
inflation appear far less than is actually happening. They use very
selective items and methods to make calculations, for a couple reasons. One,
they don't want to alarm the population. Second and quite important the
amounts govc't hand back to the citizens such as pensions is based on the
rates provided. If true rates were used it would mean far higher
expenditures for the gov't and much higher taxes which are tough on
politicians and gov'ts in power. Third inflation makes debts shrink over
time. Buy with todays dollars and pay back with much depreciated dollars in
the future. As you pointed out gov't are HUGE borrows of funds. It allows
the gov't to spend without taxing directly.

With a constant supply of dollars there is NO WAY prices across the board
can increase. It's a very simple concept. If your personal income remains
constant you may spend more on gasoline per month but that must be offset
that with lower expeditures elsewhere. That means if other items are to be
sold in the market in the same quantity prices will have to drop in those
areas. Hence no inflation. But if more money is added to the economy WITHOUT
increasing the amount of goods then a higher price can be paid for all
items.

There is one very painful fact that no one points out in this process. When
new money is added to the economy beyond what is worked and saved for, it
must enter somewhere. It HAS to go to someone first and later will
eventually work it's way into everyones accounts. Increasing the money
supply today is basically done through interest rates.

Mostly it's the upper strata of the population that gets the greatest
advantage of this increase in new money because they have the means to
borrow funds, better educations, better advisers. Many rich and people in
influential circles have a strong interest in maintaining this status quo.
They tend to understand the processes involved. Much of this new money goes
into the stock markets bidding up prices. The smaller investors tend to come
into the markets later. A certain logic and frenzy sets in. Buy now before
prices become even higher. Quick and easy money is being made everywhere.
This easy money policy also finds it's way in other sectors of the economy.

But naturally such a process cannot continue indefinitely. At some point the
gov't and central banks start to react. They are FORCED to do something for
if it continues people will eventually realize that prices will never stop
rising. They want to get rid of their shrinking dollars. Something is
seriously wrong out there. So then we see rising interest rates and a
concomitant decrease in the supply of money. Late comers, those that don't
see what's happening in time get severely burned. Stock markets, housing,
auto sales etc crash.

Later on the gov't will drop interest rates again when the economy becomes
so sluggish that it's an issue on everyone's minds. Another dangerous point
for the gov't.

Now the cycle repeats itself.

This in addition to our
> national debt is very worrisome. I am not sure we have enough gold to
> utilize what you want although I might notunderstand fully the concept ( I
> am betting on that)

Canada has less than 100,000 ounces last I checked. IIIRC correctly it was
20 million after the last war. A sad state of affairs and a piddling amount
on which to base a new currency when this one eventually goes bust.

As a matter of interest, the quantity of gold in the world works out to
slightly less than ONE ounce per person. Very interestingly this ratio has
remained almost constant thoughout history, some 6000 years. The increase in
the quantity of gold has matched the increase in population. Almost all the
gold ever found and mined is still with us.

SO.

Using gold as the barometer (gold is the world's real money) the quantity of
money in circulation has remained fairly constant through out the centuries.
As you can see, inflation would be non existant if we stuck to gold as our
money. There would however be a steady decline in prices everywhere BECAUSE
humans have learned how to to become so productive, putting fewers hours of
work to make more and better products and services.

There have been a lot of paper curencies that have gone by the wayside in
6000 years.

Nope. It's the fiat currencies system that's a setup. It makes some people
rich at the expense of many others. The 'others' are mostly poor and middle
class people.
