Sound propagation in halfspace with velocity gradient

I have the following problem:

I have an isotropic compressive halfspace (air) bordered on a rigid boundary
(idealized). There is a velocity gradient in the air from the boundary into
the infinity of the halfspace.

I would like to know the propagation modes in this gradient-velocity halfspace.
Before I start numerical calculations, I would like to know if anyone else
before has solved the problem. I also welcome any suggestions as how to solve
the problem.

Please use email to communicate, because our LAN news server is down
since 2 weeks and we don't know when it will be up again.

Thanks.
