[Moderator's note: please reply via email as requested. Hope you'll be kind enuf to help me out of this situation Please, if possible, help me re- explain what is he saying!!!! I have a problem understanding what the teacher is explaining when it comes to electric current. He defines p.d as the energy converted from electrical to other forms when 1 coloumb of charge passes between two circuit, volt as the potential difference between 2 points in a conductor such that 1 joule of work done in taking 1 coloumb of charge from in point to other, and the formula V=W/Q,where V is p.d, W as energy converted from electrical to other forms, Q as the charge. I REALLY DON"T UNDERSTAND HIM!!!! I looked through Enc.pedia, books, dictionaries, and they generally say the same thing. So if you got some time in your hand, please explain to me what is he talking about!!!! email me on shinla@mbox2.singnet.com.sg Thank you so muche! Even if there where significant wave function overlap (which there isn't in the low-T materials), the electrons would still have different crystal momenta (+k and -k). (2) The fact that many Cooper pairs share a quantum state says nothing about the constituent electrons sharing states. Since the electrons in a pair have crystal momenta at +k and -k, requiring the quasi-particles (Cooper pairs) to all have their momenta K near zero doesn't do anything to restrict the number of quantum states available to the constituent electrons.
