Passive arming, thief-proof kill switch, without the ComputerKey your car cannot be started, even with the key. You simply insert your ComputerKey and the system will release its electronic lockouts allowing you to start your vehicle with your car key. When you park your vehicle, you take the ComputerKey with you. Your AutoImmobilizer will arm itself within 60 seconds, disabling the vehicle. Your car won't start without your ComputerKey. What's more, even if a thief hot-wired the ignition, removed your car's battery, or cut any electrical wires, it will be to no avail. In fact, he would be unable to start your car even if he had stolen your car keys! Without your ComputerKey, the vehicle won't start. The best protection out there. They go for over $100, here its starting at $9.99. Kit is new, with installation instructions and two computerkeys. See: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1291117550

Point well taken !! The unit described sounds excellent to discourage amateur car thieves and joy riders, but there are other simple things to do to discourage those who would simply lift the front end off the ground and tow the vehicle away. Again, nothing is perfect, and there is little you can do to absolutely stop determined professionals, but don't forget to turn your wheels fully into the curb when parked, and if you can, park in such a way or in such a spot that no towing vehicle can gain access to either end of the vehicle. Oh yes, make sure your insurance premiums are fully paid up......(grin) R.H.Campbell Home Security Metal Products Ottawa, Ontario, Canada www.homemetal.com "Paradox" <l33ta0lhax0r@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:9rp46q$v691t$1@ID-109635.news.dfncis.de... > *backs flatbed tow truck up to Lamborghini Diablo with aforementioned > product* > > Yeap we'll just work at it one piece at a time, heh heh heh. > > > Mr. Poker <mistahpoker@yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:12cae8e8.0110310622.34b1c14a@posting.google.com... > > > http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1291117550 > >

Very good advice!!! I've used this technique to avoid "tow-jackers" and it works.
