Hello,

Is there any book which analyses the source code of PGP in detail instead of
just listing it?
As well, I'd like to be in touch with people who have work with this code to
ask them some technical questions about how some functions work, about which
algorithms are used by PGP to do different things and about other stuff like
that.

Thanks.
Jorge

Real documentation? Wow! Then, anyone could logically write their own
code to do all functions fully defined, in whatever language turned them
on.

Sometimes you have to punt, and hope for the best.

Actually the source code for 5.5.3 is reasonably clear at most places. It's
just I'm not a C++ programmer.

The thing I don't like is that for 6.0.2 the original hashes no longer
match the actual international source - probably coz of bug fixes and minor
cosmetic changes (e.g. www.pgp.com -> www.pgpinternational.com.) I dunno if
it's too much to ask for PGP Inc to redo the hashes for the international
version. I'd rather focus source trust to PGP Inc than spread it out
between PGP Inc, cnlabs and PGP international. I feel it's important that
changes can be traced directly to PGP Inc.

I've only managed to unmunge Stale's original 6.0.2 source, somehow I can't
unmunge the whole thing, I'm probably doing something wrong. So I only
compared a few files between Stale's original 6.0.2 book source and PGP
International's current source. Just cosmetic changes from what I saw.

Would be good if the updated stuff could be directly traced to PGP Inc.
Don't want anything like the alleged CryptoAG effect...

Cheerio,

Link.
