Update On The Whining Geezer

I'm the 62-year-old fart whose lifelong exercises ended last fall due
to a spate of injuries, the most notable being, from the aerobic
standpoint, a torn rt. meniscus and a left plantar fasciitis with
spur.

Anyway, the knee-friendly Nordic ski machine came yesterday and I damn
near fell on my ass three times. Had a skier (different brand) back
in the 80s and didn't like it, mainly because for some unknown reason
it was hard to get the heart rate up, but at least it wasn't
dangerous.

Today was much better though. I was able to swing my arms for the
last 5 minutes of a 28-minute session, instead of holding on to the
handles or leather pad for dear life. Like anything else, I guess it
takes practice.

Sorry to laugh, Jack, but I've only been on one of those once. Thought I'd
never walk again. It does take practice.....it also takes coordination,
which I don't always have. Give me a nice soft pool of water and I am fine.
LOL

Good for you Jack. I hope the use of the machine does not stress any of
your tender spots. Your heart will thank you.

Did you give up the activites you formely described in the NG in which you
told us all how you jog naked in your front yard about the time the female
postal carrier hits your street?

You're stretching the truth. Yes, there's a jogging oval on my
property that I used every day. But the property is isolated, with
the nearest neighbor 1/2 mile mile away (East, South and West) and the
nearest neighbor to the north is blocked by three rows of evergreen
trees.

Yes, the mail lady caught me jogging au naturel on one occasion, as
did a carload of Jehovah's Witnesses ... who have never returned.

Stretching the truth? I think not. I am simply quoting you on your own
posting here in which you described this nude jogging behavior as a regular
activity which you yourself stated you found quite enjoyable.

Perhaps you should hook up with GNB aka BT aka Fukar and now RaverFan and go
for a run.
