I can tell you what VW tell me, and I've tried it. Diesel engines only run on up to 40% of it, then if you understand RON and cetane you would know why. I could also tell you why a UK show has bits about. A diesel engine will take "GAS" however at a ratio will decide not to. Albiet nothing to do with fuel pump lubrication you won't deestory it. A petrol engine and diesel don't mix. -- Kip.
