I am traveling to Asia next month and would like to get some medical
insurance to cover me during that week. I am Type 1. Does anyone have any
knowledge of where that coverage could be purchased? Thanx-G.

Do you have health insurance now? First thing would be to check with them
to see what you need to do to be covered during your trip.

Even if your health insurance covers you while out of the country, you may have
to pay at the time of service and get reimbursed at home. That can be expensive
and it may be easier to get local insurance. Also, check if your insurance
has/recommends doctors where you will be visiting. That may help.
