My name is Paulette and I have complex partial epilepsy which is
hormonally aggravated-otherwise known as "catamenial".  I have seen
some of the best epileptologists in the nation, supposedly, and some of
the best in South. California, but they keep pointing me in the
direction of surgery, which isn't a perfect solution for me by far!
It is true that I've taken nearly every anticonvulsant on the face of
the planet, but I haven't taken every combination of them yet.
DR. ENGEL AT UCLA BASICALLY GAVE UP ON ME, DR. GEHRET IN HUNTINGTON
BEACH DID AS WELL.  SO, AT THIS TIME I HAVE NO NEUROLOGIST, I HAVE A
NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST WHO HELPS ME COPE WITH THE AURAS AND SEIZURES WITH
BIOFEEDBACK!  I JUST HAD A SEIZURE THIS MORNING EVEN THOUGH I'M TAKING
1800 MG. OF TEGRETOL AND 1500 MG. OF NEURONTIN!!!!!!!!!
CAN SOMEBODY SUGGEST A GOOD DOCTOR THAT I WON'T WASTE MY TIME WITH?
I HAVE MY RECENT CAT SCAN, MRI & EEG AND COMPLETE MEDICAL FILES.
