Fat aussie tranny and notorious tranny newsgroup troll Gary/Samantha Scafe is now world famous! His story has been picked up all over the world! Even NBC in Los Angeles. How does it feel to be famous, Gary/Samantha? http://www.nbclosangeles.com/around_town/the_scene/Jetstar-Hefty-Passengers-Pay-Extra.html Jetstar: Hefty Passengers Pay Extra By BRYCE LONGTON Australian low-cost carrier Jetstar, has laid down the law for overweight passengers: one seat for the price of two. Passengers who hit the 350 pound mark on the scale are now expected to pony up for two seats. So clearly, Jetstar = Fatphobic. However, it seems that Jetstar also = stupid, because the latest fat passenger to fly with them, Samantha Scafe, had her two seats booked across the aisle from each other. She is obviously suing for discrimination. What I'm curious about is whether or not they have passengers who look like they might tip the two-seat scale, stand on the baggage scale to get weighed in before the flight. -------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW, the comments are hilarious! Is that comment by "Lyle" the one and only Lyle Blake?!? -------------------------------------------------------------------- View Comments (12) Lyle Tuesday, Mar 3 at 5:51 AM FLAG COMMENT Actually Samantha Scafe pictured above is in fact Gary Scafe, a small time con man and mentally troubled individual who has gone by many female names in the past and who's internet history can be found here: http://groups.google.com/group/soc.support.transgendered/browse_thread/thread/d95cc2f7558d853e?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=%22gary scafe%22#a921d94427e0f8f5Actually Samantha Scafe pictured above is in fact Gary Scafe, a small time con man and mentally troubled individual who has gone by many female names in the past and who's internet history can be found here: http://groups.google.com/group/soc.support.transgendered/browse_thread/thread/d95cc2f7558d853e?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=%22gary scafe%22#a921d94427e0f8f5 Barky Friday, Feb 13 at 7:01 AM FLAG COMMENT FedEx has experience and equipment for shipping large animals by plane for zoos. Frequent Traveler Monday, Feb 9 at 8:48 PM FLAG COMMENT Well, the airline certainly could have handled this better in almost every respect. However, I give them credit for breaking the ice on this sensitive subject. I don't have a problem with charging very obese folks for two seats. This is where common sense has to trump discrimination laws that will be twisted to sue airlines. I fly a lot and have occasionally sat next to the morbidly obese passenger. I was physically (and uncomfortably) squeezed against the wall of the plane for the flights (I almost always fly at the window). In the one case, the fat passenger was 1/3 into my seat - I am not exaggerating. There was nothing to do, they were just huge. Let them buy two seats. Sorry. It's that or lose weight. Think me cruel? I don't. These obese people aren't bad people, I have no hatred for them at all. Indeed, I have compassion. But they have a health problem and it is affecting the passengers around them. The effect is easily solved by simply requiring two seats. What is the big deal? What are we worried about, hurting their feelings or something? It's not about that. It's about physics and two objects not being able to take up the same space. We restrict and control people all the time for disabilities and health. Should we let the blind drive because we are worried how they will feel? Ahhh, that's a ridiculous example! A blind person simply can't drive. Exactly. A very obese person simply can't fit into one seat. Really, how you implement it is the challenge and one that I don't envy. Rather than weight, maybe they have some sort width measuring device that is deployed when a passenger looks too big. Amusement parks have to deal with this all time - with people too small (little kids) and people too big to fit into the seats. My sister worked an amusement park and dealt with this regularly. It was a safety issue and she was unrepentant about it. Can't fit. No go. Same thing. Fat people, get over it. ...
