I occasionally drag out my A1000 (complete with monstrous Sidecar XT and 20meg hard
drive) just to check that it all still goes, and it always amazes me that no other
manufacturer has realised how practical it was to have that little space under the
case where the keyboard fits.
As far as pre Commodore Amigas go, I don't think they exist. The machine which
became the Amiga was initially called the Lorraine - the Amiga name was bestowed on
it by Commodore.
